I took the longest nap in history, and Im going to go back to sleep. I don't feel so great.

This weekend I'll spending my time in the Maves art building finishing up my project and hopefully getting out to do my photography home work. More later.

Not much to say really. Going to classes. Looking for a job. Not much time for friends right now, which is actually kind of nice since I spent most of my time in the Quad Cities running from place to place to see different people.

But. Check this out:

Digital Photography TTh 3:30 - 6:00pm
Foundation/Core MWF 10:30 - 11:20am
Music Business T 8:00 - 9:20am (Then online on thursdays)
Studio Recording Techniques MW 3:30 - 4:20pm
Sound Reinforcement T 6:00 - 7:00pm

Oh, and not to mention we have to make 2 chapels a week. Thats at 9:30 - 10:20am. ANDDD to top it off. Sound Reinforcement has to Co-op with the Lab Bands. That means we have to get emails that tell us when to show up to mix a band before they practice for THEIR lab band class. Bussssy busy!

I was wondering how I had 15 credit hours, but I felt like I was insanely busy.

Well, turns out that all Digital Media Majors have double the ART. So, Art Design, and Digital Photography are only 3 credit hours a piece, yet we meet for 6 hours a week PER class. Thats 12 hours between two classes. And trust me, they make sure we meet the full amount. Blahhhh.

Went home to the Quad Cities for the weekend. We took Joel with us. It was a good time. Got to see Nicole, and that was an amazing time. Lots of homework is undone. Must do. Oh, and I got a new lens.

So, its 3:06 AM. Yeah son. College life.

I took a pretty nice shower just now. No football guys around to mess up my zen. It was super hot and long. I liked it. But I must tell you. As I was going to the shower. I saw something in our room. A MOUSE. Yes. He was running around in our room. I woke Trent up to tell him, but he just gave me some zombie-esque nod and rolled back over. So, in order to catch this mouse, that of which I have dubbed "Decemator", and rid it from crawling on my face at night, I have built a booby trap. Picture at the bottom.

Ingredients:

Box
Pen
Animal Crackers (I used chocolate, you can use whatever.)

I hope to awake tomorrow to a flipped box with a little mouse inside. It worked for Bugs Bunny many'a'time.

Anyways. I had my Core Class, my Studio Class, and my Art Design. All of which were wayyyy sweet. Tomorrow I have Digital Photography from 12:30 to 3:20. Pretty excited about that.

Im hoping to land a job tomorrow. Though, my chances are looking slim. I stood in line with out 30 other people while turning in applications. Then we got a dreary lecture from our Core teacher about how there were not many jobs in Greenville, and even less on campus. Trent and I are going to go look for jobs monday in Edwardsville.

Oh! And I listened to Anna practice for her Worship Audition. So so good. And Alex, and Joel are freaking sweet at guitar. We all chilled in the whitlock at some point in the day, I dont know when, and listened to everyone practice for a bit. Super talented people.

Coming home for the weekend to grab some stuff, now that I know what the dorm is like. So, that shall consist of laundry, family and my most favorite, NICOLE MARIE! Woo go!

Well. Trent and I have met a group of amazing people.

Joel, Alex, Anna, and Kristina. They have been a lot of fun and we all share the same feeling about the church campy feeling about NSO. There is a Canoe trip tomorrow. We're not going. We found out that we don't actually have to go from our instructor. So, we get out of it.

We walked around town for a bit. Did some NSO class stuff. Not really all that exciting.

I'm hoping that we have labor day off so that Trent and I can come home and I can see Nicole! That'd be awesome. Also we're gonna pick up a couch and some other housey stuff. We went to Alex and Joel's dorm and it was like a freaking hotel. We got the worst dorm on campus. Sucks.

I got to talk to an instructor about what classes I was taking and how they are and now Im pretty excited to actually do some school work.

I applied to some job places. Hopefully I get them!

Well. New Student Orientation is over. Thank the Lord.

I have mixed feelings about this whole College thing. On the one hand my classes look like a lot of fun and I'm ready to start them and on the other hand there is an overwhelming sense of church camp here, which I don't like so much. Example. They put us into groups late last night (Trent was about to fall asleep) and made us make noise when our respective dorm and floor was called out. Oh, and they also threw candy out into the crowd. A box of nerds to the face is not the best feeling in the world when you're already about to pass out from exhaustion.

Trent and I are sleeping in bunk beds in a literal OVEN. It's so hot in here. Also, the black sheets are mine. EVERYONE on our floor in into sports. Joy is the hall for that I guess so I'm not sure how we got placed here. Oh, and its one giant open room for showers. But its football practice right now, so I'm gonna go get one while they men are out.

Last thing: Saying goodbye to my family and to Nicole was one of the hardest things ever, but I'll be back soon, beings as I hate it here.

Well. It's 12:24 AM on Friday.

Im leaving at 5:00 AM for college. This entry is going to be very brief, cause I'm exhausted, but I promise to update in detail the events of orientation and dorm stuff tomorrow evening.

I saw Tropic Thunder. I give it 4/5.

And I am so fortunate to have the most amazing best friend and girlfriend in the whole world. Nicole and I have been through a lot in the past five years of our relationship, and this is just one more stretch before we actually seal the deal. Kind of weird to think about, really.

So, heres to her for a wonderful relationship.

And heres to you, Greenville College... I hope you're ready for this.
